I’ve been there before, Jeremiah. You are having a fantastic day, enjoying a DOLE Whip, when you check wait times on your mobile device and find your battery level is shockingly low. Luckily, Walt Disney World Resort has
portable phone-charging kiosks! Not only can you purchase new charging equipment, but you can also swap out ones that need to be replaced for no additional fee currently. I actually just did this a couple of weeks ago during my last visit, and it was a lifesaver! Now I do want to note, Jeremiah, that Disney does not operate these kiosks, so this is subject to change depending on the third-party operator.
I hope this was helpful, Jeremiah! Before I let you go, I wanted to share a tip just in case. Nothing is worse than your battery going low and trying to locate a portable charging kiosk. Did you know that you can find the nearest kiosk using your
My Disney Experience mobile app? Once you open the app, select the second icon at the bottom (it should look like a little map marker). Select it, and it will bring up the map for you. At the top, scroll until you see an “I” for Guest Services. The map will then pop up, showing a battery icon indicating the location of a portable phone charging service kiosk!
