Will a free lanyard still be provided on embarkation day to all passengers?

    Hi, Gloria!

Ahoy and welcome aboard Disney Cruise Line! You are in for a real "at sea" adventure as you cruise with Captain Mickey and his amazing crew. It is up to you whether you plan to join in all the planned activities, or perhaps you prefer to lounge poolside with a magical drink and just enjoy the sunshine. Either way, you are in for a practically perfect vacation. Have the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App downloaded so you can see all that's happening around the ship.

Lanyards are given as a gift for all Castaway Club Members. A guest automatically becomes a member after completing one sailing on Disney Cruise Line. If you (or anyone in your travel party) has sailed before, you will find a lanyard(s) in your stateroom upon arrival. Each guest's lanyard will correspond with their Castaway Club level: Silver (1-4 completed cruises), Gold (5-9 completed cruises), Platinum (10-24 completed cruises), and Pearl (25+completed cruises). In addition, Castaway Club members receive a complimentary in-room gift (one gift per stateroom).

If this is your first cruise, a lanyard will not be provided. If you would like a lanyard for your Key to the World Card, lanyards are available for purchase in the gift shops onboard, or feel free to bring a lanyard from home. Key to the World Cards are a standard credit card size so you do not need to find a specialized size.

Another option from the Key to the World Card will be to use a DisneyBand+. This handy band can be used to open your stateroom door, tap for any purchases, and may be used to tap as you enter or exit the ship. If you have a MagicBand+ from any of the Disney Theme Parks, it will be compatible onboard. Bring it as you check-in for your cruise, and it will be checked to make sure it is properly linked for use onboard. DisneyBand+ and MagicBand+ are waterproof so you can safely keep it on during your entire cruise, even when in the swimming pools or in the water at Disney Castaway Cay! (DisneyBand+/MagicBand+ is not used on the Disney Adventure.)

Have fun as you approach your sail date. If you have any other questions, please stop back to your friends here at planDisney. Bon Voyage!
