Do they have free ice machines near the cabins at loop 2500 .

    Darlene:

Although I know that Disney doesn't provide free ice machines at Fort Wilderness, your question encouraged me to get out a bit while I'm vacationing here at the fort and do a little research. Almost all of the Comfort Stations have ice machines except the "comfort station" that serves the cabin loops and sits beside the Wilderness Swimmin' Pool and Cabin Loop 2500. The nearest ice machines to 2500 are located in the partial-hook up/tent loop 2000. (The ice machine at the Comfort Station between Loops 1100 and 2100 is out of order at this time.)

The ice machines give you a full bag of ice for $2 in quarters. You can get change at The Meadows if you need it. Make sure to get one of the bags that are located to side of the machine positioned under the ice dispenser BEFORE you insert your change. Once you push the slot, the ice begins to pour immediately. (Not that I have had to go to The Meadows for an additional $2 in change after I couldn't catch the ice quickly enough on my first try...)

Wishing you a magical vacation at the fort!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
