    We have free dining. I want to upgrade my ticket to an AP when we get there for a girls trip in January and merchandise discounts. If I do that the first day will I lose my free dining? Thanks for your help!

    Congratulations on being able to take advantage of the Free Dining promotion going on at Walt Disney World this fall!

    You can absolutely take your Park ticket to any Guest Services location in the 4 major Theme Parks or Downtown Disney and upgrade it to an Annual Pass. This will not affect your Dining Plan at all. As a matter of fact, this is exactly what I did the very first year I became an annual passholder! I see it as making a deposit on the price of the Annual Pass ahead of time.

    I have a feeling that the Annual Pass discount is going to come in handy on your upcoming girls trip! I see lots of shopping in your future! :)
