With the Free Dining plan can a 'Table Service' be used for a 'Counter Service'??

Hi, Len! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s so nice to see you here!

One of the most popular Special Offers at Walt Disney World Resort is the free Disney Dining Plan which is offered from time to time. I’m so excited that you were able to take advantage of this magical (and delicious) deal! Funny you should ask this question, as most Guests view having a Quick Service meal instead of a Table Service meal a poor value, however, sometimes you just aren’t in the mood to spend time enjoying a sit-down meal. My husband and I actually did just this a few yEARS ago when we were exhausted from a busy week in the Disney Theme Parks and decided to stay at our Disney Resort hotel and relax. At the time, we were able to “downgrade” our Table Service credit to be used as a Quick Service credit without issue, keep in mind that this is typically at the discretion of a Cast Member and though you can sometimes “downgrade”, “upgrading” (using a Quick Service for a Table Service meal) is not possible.

If you’re looking to save even more time while enjoying those Quick Service meals, did you know that many Disney restaurants now offer Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering? Skip the line and order from wherever you are through your My Disney Experience mobile app. I should note that payment can only be made through credit cards or debit cards at the moment, so if you are looking to use those Disney Dining Plan credits, you will have to order in person.

I hope you have a magical vacation and bon appetit!
