We have the free dining plan with our stay in August which we’ve never had before. I know popcorn, pretzels, icecream, soda, water etc. are considered snack credits. What else is a snack credit?

    Hello Dawn!

It's lovely seeing you back here at planDisney again! It's been a while but I'm glad that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation! The free dining plan is the

What is considered a snack in the dining plan is a vast and delicious list. Snacks can include the always consistently fun ice cream, popcorn, bottled beverages, and whole fruit. However, it can also include delicious options such as:

Some of these items were confirmed as snacks by looking at their Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering menus in the My Disney Experience Mobile App which lists them with the detail "Qualifies as a Snack." Some of these restaurants like Aloha Isle do not have Mobile Ordering but I know that their menu in person will show the DDP snack icon. (I'm a frequent consumer of all things Dole Whip which makes me an armchair expert.) Look for this symbol every time you wish to order a snack. It's a purple and white square broken into four smaller squares that say "DDP" along with a cup with a straw. This little icon will be posted alongside every item that is a snack on the dining plan on the menu boards. I consider the food at the festival booths at EPCOT to be the best use of my dining plan snacks as the foods are priced higher and have a better value. My rule when getting a snack with the dining plan is to only choose items over $6. Otherwise, I just pay for it. You will not catch me using a snack for a cheese sauce, Dawn. Cheese sauce is usually around $1 and I have precious other considerable snacks to eat before my trip is over. (All prices are subject to change.)

I hope this helps and you have a delicious time!

    Happy Planning!
