Since the Free Dining plan has expired, is it really worth purchasing it? I've heard mixed reviews on it. Thank you!!

Greetings and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christine, we thank you for your loyalty and excellent question!

I am fan of all Disney Dining Plan packages and incorporate them on all Walt Disney World Resort vacations because of their great flexibility being pre-paid and the wide variety of snacks and dining venues available to choose from. Best of all, I find that they save me money when I compare the cost of dining a la carte to the cost of being on a plan per day. You can easily do this calculation yourself by adding Snacks, Quick-Service and Table-Service meal costs and comparing that to the cost of the per day cost for the dining plan that you may be interested in.

Meal Entitlements are stored on my MagicBand adding great convenience to my daily touring by not having to tow my pocketbook around. I just make sure I’ve made my Advanced Dining Reservations with My Disney Experience for those popular Table-Service venues.

Obtaining a Disney Dining Plan can be done by:
-Purchasing and adding it to a Magic Your Way Vacation Package
-Adding it to your existing reservation by modifying your reservation to upgrade to a package that includes the Disney Dining Plan

We hope this information assists with your decision, Christine and we wish you many delicious Disney dishes!
