We have four people in our party staying off site. Can I make ride reservations for them when I make mine or do they have to wait until they get in the park?

    Hi Pamela,

Welcome to planDisney! You're planning a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth during my very favorite time of year! Between the gorgeous decorations, festive music, fun seasonal happenings, and feeling of Christmas joy in the air, you and your fellow Mouseketeers are going to have a BLAST this December!

Since theme park reservations are now required for admission into the parks in addition to valid tickets, I'd definitely encourage you to make those now for everyone in your party. As far as making reservations for specific attractions, though, there's currently no available way to do that. Disney recently announced that the FastPass+ service is retiring for good, and while they've let us know that a new service called Disney Genie+ will allow Guests to skip the standby lines and join a Lightning Lane one attraction at a time beginning sometime this fall, we don't know yet exactly when it will debut. I'd encourage you to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements and updates, and please feel free to come back and see us again once it rolls out if you have questions about how to use it! Attractions are currently accessible via standby queues, and once Disney Genie+ becomes available, all Guests will still have the option to use the standard queues, too.

The one exception will be the brand-new Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, which will debut on October 1st, 2021, and will utilize a virtual queue only. To enjoy this fun experience, you'll want to use the handy dandy My Disney Experience app on the day of your EPCOT visit at 7:00 AM from wherever you are or at 1:00 PM once you've entered the theme park. No standby line will be available for this attraction. The great news is that as long as you and your party are connected via the Family & Friends list within My Disney Experience, you'll be able to access the virtual queue together!

Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, Pamela. I hope that you and your crew have a truly magical vacation this holiday season and make memories together to cherish for years to come!
