Hi Carol,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is right around the corner—how exciting! It sounds like you’re looking to add some extra magic to your visit. Mr. Big from Zootopia likes his limos on ice, but I’m guessing you’re looking for warmer accommodations.
Disney does provide some recommendations for
how to get to the Resort from John Wayne Airport. Currently, Disney does not provide transportation to and from the airport. However, there are a number of shuttles and limousines available at the Ground Transportation Center at John Wayne Airport. While Disney doesn’t have its own shuttle service, it does recommend that guests use Karmel Shuttle. You can make a reservation ahead of time to ensure that your travel party is properly accommodated. I recommend looking for a vendor that best suits the needs of your family.
Many guests also use rideshare services to get to the Resort Hotels. If you’re planning to explore other parts of Anaheim or the Los Angeles area, you might consider renting a car. There’s an
Enterprise® car rental office on the second floor of the
Pixar Place Hotel. You could rent a car from the airport and return it at the hotel—this could be a convenient option if you have a late-night arrival or extra luggage.
Just a quick reminder: hotel check-in begins after 3 PM. If your flight arrives earlier, I recommend using the hotel pre-check-in feature on the
Disneyland mobile app. If you notify the hotel in advance about your early arrival, they might be able to prepare a room for you as soon as one becomes available.
I hope this info was helpful, Carol! If you have any other questions, need more help, or want more tips, feel free to write back to me or any of my fellow panelists—we’d be thrilled to help.
Have a magical vacation!
