We have four day tkts each , we are staying at a Disney resort ~ might only use one day ( or none if rainy) for now as we have never been and really want to get our bearings ~will my used tkts stay on my magic bands ? The tkts are scanned at the gate ?

    Hi Angel,

Thanks for visiting Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's wonderful you're planning your first visit to Walt Disney World!

You might want to start out watching the free vacation planning videos available online. These videos provide a fun overview to the theme parks, resort hotels, restaurants, attractions, and more.

Now to your question about unused tickets staying on your MagicBand. Your unused tickets stay with your My Disney Experience account, and can stay linked to any MagicBand that is active on your My Disney Experience account.

When you purchase your theme park tickets, you link them to your My Disney Experience account. You also link your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation and the MagicBand you'll receive with that reservation to your My Disney Experience account.

You use the MagicBand itself and tap it against the MagicBand touchpoint to enter a theme park.

If you have unused days remaining on your tickets, the tickets remain linked to your My Disney Experience account. You can use them until they expire. Ticket expiration for multi-day tickets is 14 days after you first use them. Ticket expiration for Florida Resident 3-Day and 4-Day tickets is 180 days after first use.

If you visit again (I'm certain you'll want to!) and stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you'll receive a new MagicBand. This new MagicBand is also linked to your My Disney Experience account that also has the tickets with unused days.

Here's wishing you a wonderful first Walt Disney World trip.

    Enjoy your Disney!

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
