Hi, I have four 1- day complimentary park hoppers Since you have been closed I could not use them and now have expired.. What can be done? Thanks

    Welcome to planDisney, Adrienne!

I’m so sorry to hear you haven’t been able to use those magical tickets. The temporary closure of the Disneyland Resort theme parks has made us all quite anxious to return to The Happiest Place on Earth! I hope you get a chance to go soon.

There are a handful of Disneyland Resort theme park ticket types that have been granted automatic expiration date extensions. These ticket types include certain promotional tickets, tickets for select international Guests, and Military Salute tickets. So far, other theme park ticket types have not been granted an automatic expiration extension. Regardless, you will want to hold on to your tickets. As Disneyland Resort’s phased reopening progresses, things are still somewhat fluid. I recommend calling the Disneyland Resort Tickets helpline to look into your specific ticket type, especially after the park reopening has been announced again. The Disneyland Resort is expected to institute a park reservation system, perhaps similar to the Disney Park Pass system at the Walt Disney World Resort. At that time, I hope they will be able to tell you whether the ticket expiration date has been extended or if your tickets have value redeemable toward a new ticket.

While we are waiting for the theme parks and the Disneyland Resort Hotels to reopen, we are fortunate enough to at least be able to visit the reopened Downtown Disney District. With enhanced health and safety procedures in place, the Downtown Disney District is ready to serve up a small slice of Disneyland Resort magic. We visited earlier this summer and had a wonderful time. My favorite activity was to order gourmet ice cream from Salt & Straw, find a quiet place to sit, and enjoy the Disney theme park music while eating our delicious treats.

Tony’s Tip: While park reservations are expected to be required to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks during the phased reopening, reservations are not required to visit the Downtown Disney District. Though, I would still recommend making reservations for any table service restaurants you may wish to visit for lunch or dinner.

If you have any more questions about visiting the Disneyland Resort, we hope you will visit us again soon here at planDisney. We are happy to help you plan for a magical time at Walt Disney’s Original Magic Kingdom.

    See ya real soon, Adrienne!
