Hello there, Ana!
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for stopping by with your very first question. It is a pleasure to assist you as you
plan a magical summer vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort for your family!
You do not have to purchase theme park tickets for your children ages 8 months and 2 because Mouseketeers under the age of 3 are Mickey’s Guests of honor. You will only have to purchase admission for all the other members of your travel party, including your older kids. If you decide to purchase
Disney Genie+ during your visit, your little ones under 3 will be able to join you as you experience Lightning Lane attractions, but they must meet the height requirement. Please note that all the children must be included, regardless of age, while
making dining reservations or booking a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel.
Ana, I absolutely love visiting
The Most Magical Place on Earth with my daughters. There is so much for children to see and do, so I encourage you to
find out about attractions designed with little ones and families in mind. I also recommend learning about the
Baby Care Centers located at all four theme parks and
Rider Switch service. The Baby Care Centers are the places to go for a diaper change, a restroom break, or a snack break, and they even offer items for purchase that we sometimes forget back at the hotel, like baby food, wipes, etc. Rider Switch is an excellent service that allows adult Guests to take turns waiting with kids or Guests who cannot ride certain attractions. I always request this service while visiting with my family because my 3-year-old does not yet meet the height requirement for certain attractions.
I hope this information is helpful, Ana. Come back to visit us as you plan your Disney vacation. Nothing makes us happier than helping Guests create magical memories!
Best Disney wishes,
Thiana
