Are there still four basic buttons (celebrating, happy birthday, first visit, happily ever after)? If so are there other special buttons we can get for doing specific things? (Like maybe a button for character meals or participating in certain activities?)

Hi Kenzi! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

We love our Walt Disney World Resort buttons! They make such wonderful souvenirs! While you may find a few other buttons throughout the theme parks, our family has found some extra magic in pin trading. A few years ago, my husband bought his first pin and our pin trading experience began! (Though we haven't mastered the trading part yet.) There are pin trading merchandise kiosks and stores throughout Walt Disney World Resort and a pin (or 2 or 3) is now on our must have list for souvenirs each time we visit Walt Disney World Resort.

You will find everything from attractions to experiences to Disney Resort hotels. Each vacation, our pin purchase is based on something new we do. Whether it's staying at a Disney Resort hotel for the 1st time or celebrating a 1st time on an attraction, the pins we have purchased have become a wonderful reminders of the magical memories we have made while on vacation at Walt Disney World Resort!

If you decide you want to begin building your collection of pins, Disney's Pin Traders in the Marketplace at Disney Springs is a great place to start! There you will find a huge selection of pins and starter sets. As your pin collection grows, you might even want to swap pins with Disney Cast Members. As I mentioned, we aren't experienced at the swapping, but we love purchasing the pins. On one of our recent vacations, we were at Walt Disney World Resort during the Christmas holiday. In our Resort hotel room, we had a small Christmas tree that we decorated with Disney pins. It was not only super cute, but as we decorated the tree, it was fun to reminisce about the memories made when we purchased each pin. Magical memories!

Thanks so much for sharing your question with the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Have a magical day!
