Hi there, Laura!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am glad you stopped by while planning for a Disney Cruise Line vacation! You can’t go wrong with a
Disney Cruise Line vacation – with
plenty to do onboard for all ages, it truly is a trip worth going on!
As it turns out, I am currently onboard a Disney Cruise Line vacation, so I put your question to the test! The upper berth can hold up to 220 lbs and I measured it and it is approximately 6 feet in length with an affixed side rail. Depending on the size of the adult, they may or may not want to sleep up top. I think the members of your travel party would have to determine their level of comfort on the bunk in that situation, but I don’t see it being an issue for an adult to sleep there (assuming within the size limitations).
Most staterooms have a double bathroom set-up which is incredibly nice! We love having a separate toilet area apart from the shower area. Additionally, there are two sinks, so that makes getting ready in the mornings a little more convenient for a group. There is also a curtain that can be pulled closed between the sofa/bunk bed area and the bed area, if a little more privacy is necessary! If you find that you do need two rooms, you may want to consider a set of connecting rooms to have close proximity, but a little more space!
Hopefully this helps guide you in your decision making process! Once your
sailing is booked and reserved, please come back with any other questions you may have while planning for your adventure at sea!
