I found sn airfare deal to get my five year old and I to Orlando, and now, I just have to book the rest. I really can not spend more than $1000 on this trip, and I originally only wanted to spend about $600. Help! First time there.

Hi Amanda - I'm not sure how many days you are planning to stay, but I'd recommend that you start out looking at lodging and ticket prices.  You can either call, or search online to get more information.

If you are planning to stay onsite, you'll want to look at the Disney value resorts.  My favorite is Pop Century, which is lots of fun and has the most convenient bus transportation of the value resorts.  If you stay onsite, you won't need to rent a car, which will definitely offer savings.

You are permitted to bring food into the Disney parks, so you may consider bringing some snacks from home, which will also help you save money.  One idea is to bring cereal bars with you, so you won't need to eat breakfast there.

    Hope that helps!
