    I have found a lot of info about substitutions with the DDP. I'm not a big soda drinker.. If I order water at a table service restaurant, can the "non alcoholic drink" be substituted for a non-drink item?

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We are delighted to answer your question concerning your Walt Disney World vacation!

    You are right in saying that there are substitutions available with the Disney Dining Plan!  This is just another way Walt Disney World takes care of their guests!  I called and spoke to the Cast Member about your question.  (You asked a great question because I did not know the answer!)  I just found out that you are not allowed to substitute a non-alcoholic drink with a non-drink item. 

    As a side note, I am not sure how long it has been since you have visited Walt Disney World, but the drinking water is now filtered!!  The taste is SO much better!!
