I just found out that I'll be at WDW next week for a conference and only have a bit of free time one evening. I originally thought dinner at California Grill, but no reservations are available. Is the lounge a good option? If not, where for dinner?

    Hi there Jen,

I am so happy to help you with this dilemma!  I honestly have to vote 100% for the California Grill Lounge, but there is a bit of a trick to insure seating.  It is best to arrive as soon as, if not before, the lounge opens at 5:00 PM.  I have never had an issue with being seated in the lounge when arriving a bit before opening and the view is just as magnificent and the service as wonderful.  To be honest, I actually might prefer the lounge atmosphere, especially when I am short on time.   If you can't make it this early, there is a possibility that you can be seated in the lounge at a later time, but you may have a bit of a wait, as this seating is first come, first served.

As a guest of California Grill, you will also earn access to the amazing observation deck that overlooks The Magic Kingdom park.  If you are able to come back for the fireworks later in the evening, you will be readmitted since you dined earlier!  This is just another little perk I wanted to mention!

    Hope this helps Jen,

    Amanda F.
