Just found out husband has inventory the week of our trip so we must change our dates. Want to miss July/Aug heat so our options are 3/19-25 or 5/27-6/2. Any suggestions on which would be better? One is Spring break while the other is Memorial Day.

Hello fellow Hoosier!  I am also one of those who will avoid the heat of July and August!  I just don't like to be that hot and waiting in lines with so many people!

If you enjoy cooler temperatures then I would certainly select the March dates. Spring break is such a hard time to figure out each year. Schools change their vacation calendars each year and with Easter being quite late (end of April) in 2011 it is even harder to predict what the park crowds will be like in March.  The one thing about spring break time versus a regular holiday is that not everyone celebrates at the same time thus the crowds are never going to be as bad as Christmas and Easter.

The end of May and early June dates will be much warmer and it also will be the beginning of the rainy season.  You start running the risk of enduring the daily afternoon rain and thunder showers the closer to June you get.  This is a good time to enjoy the Disney water parks but it has never been enough for me to choose the warmer months over the cooler ones!
