we have found a great way to find our stroller is to tie a balloon to it but ak doesn't allow balloons. we are staying @ the akl in november. are you allowed to bring balloons into the resort since the animals are there?

Good question. For the safety of the on-site animals, there are no balloons, drink lids or straws allowed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I stayed at the AKL for the first time last year and was actually asked to sign a statement at check-in that stated that I was aware of, and would abide by, this policy.

I know that some sources suggest that you tie a balloon to your stroller to make it more identifiable. I actually find this to be a bit of a pain. For me, it's too much to worry about the balloon popping or flying off, thus upsetting the kids. And I always find it a struggle to deal with the balloon on Disney transportation. For example, on a bus the balloon always seems to hit another guest in the face or something. There are plenty of other great ways to make your stroller easy to find: tie on a brightly colored scarf or bandana. This will keep the animals at the AKL happy and make your stroller easier to maneuver.
