Ahoy, Jeannine!
Thanks for stopping by the Moms Panel with your question.
I know you must be so excited about your Easter cruise with Disney Cruise Line. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday - a magical voyage with Captain Mickey and his pals! It' won't be long before you're sailing the high seas on the gorgeous Disney Fantasy.
I understand your panic about being able to charge all of your devices! We used to not worry about our cell phones onboard, and powered them down and put them away when we sailed. Now, with the addition of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, we like having our devices with us to check the schedule of fun things happening around the ship!
As a general rule, Disney Cruise Line asks guests not to bring their own personal extension cords onboard. If one is needed for medical equipment, such as a CPAP machine, you can borrow one from Guest Services to use in your stateroom during the cruise. The refundable deposit amount is $50.00.
If you'd like to bring a power strip, you can contact Guest Services once you board to have an onboard electrician approve it for use in your stateroom. As long as it's approved, you're more than welcome to use it to power your devices! This way, Disney Cruise Line takes measures to protect Guests from any potential fire hazards.
Since all of our devices, including my camera, can be charged with a USB cable, I purchased a five-port USB charger for our last cruise. There are several models available on Amazon and at Best Buy. It worked great for us!
I hope this helps with your packing and planning! Please let us know if we can help you with any other questions before you cruise this Spring.
Have a magical day! - Diane W.
