Just found out we are expecting baby #2! Looking for creative gender reveal ideas since we have our Disneyland trip coming up right around when we should be finding out! We will also be celebrating mine and my husband’s birthdays.

Hi there, Jessica, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on your exciting news! I can’t wait for your family to celebrate your newest addition at the Happiest Place on Earth.  Plus, with two upcoming birthdays, you have so much to celebrate this November!

First, I recommend stopping by Guest Relations at City Hall in Disneyland Park, or Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park, to pick up complimentary “I’m Celebrating!” buttons. This is a great way to let Cast Members and Characters know that you’re celebrating several amazing events in your life! For a fun twist, you could even ask a Cast Member to write “It’s a girl!” or “It’s a boy!” on the buttons, then find a Disney PhotoPass Photographer to help you capture your excitement. Sleeping Beauty Castle would be a beautiful backdrop for this reveal!

One of my favorite gender reveal ideas is to get the Characters involved. If you’re waiting to find out the gender until your arrival, I’d recommend purchasing a pair of pink and blue baby booties ahead of time, and bringing them with you. Once you’re in the parks, use the Disneyland app to find your favorite Character. Then, while you’re waiting in line for the Character, you can let the Cast Member assisting know that you’re doing a gender reveal. Once you’re with the Character, hold up both baby booties in one PhotoPass picture, then, open your envelope with your exciting news. Pose for pictures with the Character holding the pink or blue booties, depending on the verdict! What magic, to have your surprise and excitement forever captured on camera!

Another fun option is to celebrate your special occasions with a unique semi-custom round Celebration Cake while dining at Napa Rose or Carthay Circle Restaurant. Perhaps you could ask for your baby’s gender to be revealed in the custom engraving! Choose from a variety of scrumptious flavors and themes. For more information or to order a cake, call Disney Dining at (714) 781-DINE (3463) up to 60 days before your reservation.

Or, what about customizing baby’s first custom Mouseketeer Ear Hat? These would also make an adorable addition to a Mickey Mouse-themed nursery!

I can’t for your family to experience this amazing opportunity together at the Disneyland Resort this fall. Whatever you choose to do, I just know it will be filled with magic!

My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A.
