I just found out that Disney cruise does not go out of Galveston during the summer months when I want to take my grand daugher so does Disney buses take you from MCO airport to a hotel close to the cruise ship?

    Welcome back, Sheri!

Disney Cruise Line makes it so easy to set sail from Port Canaveral. If you plan to arrive the night before, the two easiest options are to stay at one of the resorts at Walt Disney World or to stay at the Hyatt at the Orlando International Airport. Since Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers from the resorts at Walt Disney World and the Orlando airport on the day of your cruise, it is as easy as can be to make your way to the port. There is an additional cost of $35 per person each way for these ground transfers, but I promise it is worth every penny to let Disney take care of all the details.

If you stay at the Hyatt, they have a partnership with Disney Cruise Line, so attendants will pick up your luggage at the hotel the morning you set sail and your bags will head off to the ship. You'll meet your bags in your stateroom later that afternoon. All you need to do is head downstairs in the airport and check in with Disney to take the motorcoach to Port Canaveral. The ride is about an hour. You'll be able to relax and enjoy a Disney Cruise Line video and classic Disney cartoons on your way, and before you know it, you'll be arriving at Port Canaveral to begin your cruise vacation!

If you stay at the Walt Disney World Resorts before sailing, you'll get complimentary transportation on the Magical Express from the airport to your resort when you arrive. Then, you'll receive a note in your room letting you know what time your bags will be picked up the following morning and what time your motorcoach will whisk you off to the port. Plus, you'll get some extra Disney magic by staying at Walt Disney World before you sail! Depending on what time you arrive, you might even consider visiting one of the parks. If your granddaughter has never been to the Walt Disney World Resort before, I highly suggest the Magic Kingdom as my park of choice!

    Have fun planning, Sheri!
