Just found out that Disney considers our 10 year old autistic son an adult in "table service" restaurants. He eats very little and is the size of a 7 year old.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Mike!

My son often doesn't like what is offered on the adult menu so he orders from the children's menu quite often. Most restaurants in Walt Disney World will let you purchase a kids meal for kids older than ages 3 to 9, even if they are considered an adult. It is really up to that particular restaurant so it doesn't hurt to ask. It has been my experience that around 90% of the Walt Disney World restaurants that I have eaten at with my son have let me do this exact thing. If your son is really hungry, you can ask for a larger portion of a kid's meal for a nominal additional fee or you can order two kids meals (typically under $20.00 total for both kid's meals which is cheaper than an adult meal) like my son does. For Buffets, Character Meals, and Dinner Shows you will have to pay the full adult price for the meal. I hope that this helps you on your next visit with your son to Walt Disney World.

I hope that all of your meals are amazing on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
