Hi, I found a dinner res at Crystal Palace on date/time required but its for a party of 5; we are party of 4. There is no workable time for a party of 4. May I make the res anyway for 5 and just pay for 5 people? Consequences to doing this? Thank you

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen!

I'm thrilled you are planning some delightful Disney meals during your visit! Nothing gets me quite as excited, or gives me such a rumbly in my tumbly, as planning and dreaming about Disney food!

Karen, ideally you will want to book your reservations for the number of guests that will be dining so the restaurant can plan accordingly. But if all you are finding for your desired date and time is a reservation for five, go ahead and book it. You can always modify your reservation after you book it.  There is no penalty if there are less people in your party than what you reserved for. The only penalty is if you don't show up or cancel within the allotted 24-hour cancellation window.

Pixie dust your way as you continue planning and booking your dining wish list. Pro-tip! If you don't see availability at first glance, keep checking back. Guests often make changes to their plans and availability will pop up, even as close as the day before your desired date.

Have a magical day and see ya real soon,

    Emille
