I just found out about the Chip and Dale Campground Singalong through this website! Are there any other secret or not well known activities that we could possibly be missing out on?

    Hi Linda,

Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long is an absolute blast! My family and I attended it on a recent stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. There are some less well-known activities at Walt Disney World. Let me give you a few ideas here; hopefully some of them will be new for you.

I think that many of these less well-know activities are at the resorts. Disney's Fort Wilderness offers an incredible range of activities, from horseback trail rides, to pony rides for the little ones, to archery classes. When you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort, be sure to look at the recreation activity guide provided for you upon check-in. This will list the activities taking place at the resort throughout your stay. Many of the resorts offer outdoor movies under the stars at night. At Disney's Beach Club resort, we have watched movies on the beach late at night, cuddled up under blankets and sipping hot chocolate. We also enjoy many of the poolside activities hosted by the recreation departments each day, which can range from relay races to trivia contests to crafts.

    If you are feeling more
adventurous, you can look into taking surfing lessons at Typhoon Lagoon! These lessons occur early in the morning before the water park opens.

Within the theme parks, try to see the Flag Retreat at Magic Kingdom Park. This brief ceremony occurs most days in the late afternoon (check the Times Guide when you arrive for the exact time that day). It is a lovely ceremony of the lowering the American flag, and it often involves military members.

Please be aware that some of the above activities do require a fee, and some do not. Also all offerings are subject to change.

I hope that this gives you some ideas for unique activities at Walt Disney World, Linda!
