This forum is a great feature. Glad it is here. Is online check in recommended? Is there a central check in station for all resorts or do I check in at Saratoga Springs?

    Hi Steven,

Great question!  Thanks for posting it to the Moms Panel.

Online check-in at your Disney resort can save you the trouble of having to provide a bunch of information (like your credit card number if you wish to place one on your account) when you first arrive. Your keys will already be printed for you so you'll only spend a minute or two at check-in.  If you happen to arrive when there's a long line to check-in at your resort this can save you significant time.  With more and more people checking in online, however, I've actually seen the online check-in line longer than the traditional check-in line every once in awhile.  You never know for sure how much time, if any, online check-in will save you.

Personally, I don't check in online.  I relish the opportunity to interact with the Cast Members when I first arrive at my Disney resort.  I can inquire as to the location of my assigned room and request a change if necessary if I haven't already checked in online.  (It has not always been possible to honor these requests but occasionally I have received a room change upon request).

When you arrive at Walt Disney World, drive or take Disney's Magical Express to Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.  There is no central check-in place at Walt Disney World.  You'll want to report directly to your home resort and check in there.

Wishing you and your family a truly magical vacation!  Let us know if you need any additional information before you depart.
