    We are fortunate in that a family member works in Disney & we are getting a discount on the hotel and tickets. Can we still sign up for a meal plan? (I was told there is no discount available for that.) Where can I find information about that on the we

    My understanding is that only Magic Your Way Vacation Packages are eligible for Disney's dining plans.  The only exception I know of is for Annual Passholders and Vacation Club Members.

    My recommendation is to talk to your family member from whom you're getting your discounted hotel and tickets.  They would be the one privy to any add-ons because that information would not be included on the Disney website as the discount you're enjoying is not for the general public.
