At Fort Wildness, is the golf cart parking at the cabins and the marina covered? I'm concerned about the rain down pours that the summer weather brings and don't want to return to a soggy cart. Is this typically a problem?

Hello, Morgan! Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is a camper's paradise! This is my idea of "Roughing  It" in comfort with the magic of Disney pixie dust sprinkled around.

While there are several convenient modes of transportation available to Guests at Walt Disney World Resort hotels, Fort Wilderness is the only one that has Golf Carts. They allow to get around with ease to the various activities and sites within the campgrounds such as the Meadow Swimmin' Pool, the Settlement or Meadow Trading Posts, or the Marina. Golf Cart Rentals can be made up to a year in advance of your visit, and I'd highly recommend reserving one early to ensure that you get one. Call (407) 824-2742 for details.

Although the Golf Carts themselves have roofs, there is no covered parking available at the Resort. Depending on the time of yEAR you are traveling, rain showers can be frequent, especially in the summer months. You may want to pack a towel in your Park bag if you plan on leaving your cart for an extended period of time.

One more tip, Morgan... try to schedule some time one evening to experience Chip' N' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long. To make things even more fun, you can bring your own marshmallows or buy everything you need to make S'mores at the Chuck Wagon Snack Bar

    Have a fantastic trip!
