Howdy Denise! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How great that you are planning to bring your furry family member on vacation with you! Fortunately for friends of Pluto, there are multiple
dog-friendly hotels throughout the Walt Disney World Resort. For your purposes, both
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and select loops in
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort welcome canine children.
If you are interested in securing a
pet-friendly campsite, you can take care of this through the
Walt Disney World booking tool. There is a small additional fee for this request (currently $5, but this is subject to change). When making your reservations online, select the "Add" button in the "Room and Amenity Requests" section, and at that point you will be able to add your pup. All of the campsite loops allow pets, so you will not necessarily be far from any of the resort amenities. Loops 100, 200, and 300 are Preferred Campsites, and located in close proximity to dining options such as
Trails End Restaurant and Pioneer Hall. Loop 300 may be a particularly good choice for you since it is also located adjacent to the Waggin' Trails Dog Park.
A great way to get around and explore all of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort no matter which loop you are in is
renting a golf cart. I bet your best friend would love the view from the front seat! A vacation at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is such a unique experience, and I am excited for you to stay there.
I hope that answers your questions about bringing your fur baby on vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a magical stay!
