Hi April! We are often at
Fort Wilderness Resort for Halloween and it is one of the best spots on property to enjoy this great spirited holiday.
This resort is often full of activities for adults, children, and yes even dogs! Their schedule is not always published more then about a month in advance since changes can happen. I would start calling in September and see if they can advise you about the activities or at least let you know when they will be published.
In the past they have had the dog parade on the 30th as well as the site decoration contest. The trick or treating is always on the 31st. The golf cart parade has varied in the past few years but last year it was on the 31st. The Headless Horseman can sometimes make an appearance at the movie under the stars on the 30 and/or 31.
Parking at Fort Wilderness during this weekend is closed to all outside guests. Only registered guests in the cabins and campsites will be allowed into the resort. Also those with dining reservations at Trails End, Hoop Dee Doo, or Mickey's Backyard Barbecue will also be allowed to park. There is often overflow parking set up at the resort.
Hope you can enjoy some of the festivities this year!
