Fort wilderness dog rules and what paperwork do you need to bring.

Hi, Juan, and welcome to planDisney! As a fellow dog lover and owner, I'm paws-itively delighted you brought your question about having your furry friend at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. That deserves a round of a-paws. Allow me to dig up an answer for you.

Per the Walt Disney World Pet Policies, you'll need to have your dog's up-to-date vaccination records with you. As far as rules go, they are pretty straightforward. There are areas where your pet won't be allowed, and there are time limits for leaving your four-legged family member unattended in your accommodations. Additionally, your dog must be trained and well-behaved as well as be kept on a leash or in a carrier when outside of your cabin, tent or camper. I've linked the full list of policies for you above so you can familiarize yourself with everything that's expected. We wouldn't want you or your pet to have a ruff day by barking up the wrong tree (or relieving itself on one). That would just be paw-ful!

You'll also need to let them know you'll be bringing your pet when you make your reservation as there are additional fees involved. Upon arrival, you'll receive Pluto's Welcome Kit to help get the paw-ty started by making your stay more comfortable and fun for both you and your best friend. This is true of each Walt Disney World pet friendly resort.

Juan, I hope you and your furry friend have a ball during your vacation. Or, at the very least, get to play fetch with a few. Zoom on back to planDisney with any other planning questions you have.

    Have a magical trip!
