Hi Tami!
Disney's Fort Wilderness Christmas decorations are nothing short of spectacular! Each year Fort Wilderness sponsors a site decorating contest and guests put in a tremendous amount of effort into their own personal Disney Christmas displays! From holiday Blow Ups,lights, nativity scenes, miniature Walt Disney World displays to Cinderella Castle, you will find just about everything here and absolutely nothing is in short supply.
When my family is spending the holidays at Walt Disney World, visiting Fort Wilderness is a must-do on our vacation. Keep in mind that there are lots of decorations and Fort Wilderness does have quiet hours beginning at 10 pm in which time some guests will turn off their displays, especially if they are particularly bright or involve sound. You may want to plan accordingly in order to see all of these fantastic displays.Campsite loops at Disney's Fort Wilderness are very spread out, so be prepared to walk or you may want to consider renting a golf cart to make getting around this resort a bit easier. While not an official event,if you will be visiting to close to Christmas, there is also a Christmas golf cart parade that is a wonderful treat for the holidays.
Another special event sure to evoke magical memories is a
Holiday Sleigh Ride at Disney's Fort Wilderness. This bright red "one horse open sleigh" is a very popular event so make your reservations by calling (407) WDW-PLAY.If you love these holiday displays, make sure to visit Fort Wilderness during the Halloween season which also offers spooktacular, ghoulish displays.
I hope you have a magical holiday visit, Tami! Please visit us again if you have any more questions or need advice planning your upcoming vacation.
Happy Holidays!
