How do I get from fort wilderness to Circle D Ranch.

Howdy, Sharon! Welcome to planDisney, the most helpful Disney vacation planning resource in the wilderness!

Thanks for sharing your question with us. Considering that Walt Disney World is larger than the island of Manhattan, even experienced visitors need help with directions from time to time. Before we get started, make sure you’ve downloaded the My Disney Experience app to your mobile device. Not only does it allow you to manage your tickets and make reservations, but it also provides step-by-step directions to most locations around the resort.

Fort Wilderness is quite large with different areas for RVs, tent camping, and cabins. The exact directions you’ll need will depend on where you’re starting from and the time of day you're traveling. I’ll assume you’re coming from the Settlement Trading Post, which is where many guests arrive if they are taking a water taxi from the Magic Kingdom or nearby Wilderness Lodge.

At the time I’m writing this, the My Disney Experience app suggests two options: walking or Fort Wilderness’s internal bus system. The walking route is an estimated 30 minutes down Fort Wilderness Trail, and the bus trip is an estimated 34 minutes. Assuming you want to do the bus, you’ll walk from the Settlement Trading Post to the Settlement Bus Depot, where you’ll see options for the Yellow, Orange, and Purple Routes. Any of these Routes will take you to the Outpost Depot bus stop, and from there it’s just a short walk to Tri-CircleD Ranch

If you have any questions about your directions on the day of your visit, don’t hesitate to ask a helpful Fort Wilderness Cast Member. They’ll get you pointed in the right direction.

I hope this info helps you navigate your upcoming Walt Disney World trip, Sharon. Pop right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
