Fort Wilderness Campground question: Preferred Campsite Accommodates equipment on a concrete pad up to 10 feet by 45 feet Is the concrete pad 10 X 45, or is the maximum RV size with slideouts extended 10 X 45?

    Hi John! Welcome to planDisney.

A stay at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort is on my family’s bucket list. We love visiting “The Fort,” because it’s filled with so much natural beauty, and there are so many fun recreation opportunities all around the grounds. As Rapunzel says, “I have a dream” of riding bikes and kayaking all while in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

I checked in with a Cast Member who confirmed that in Preferred Campsites, the concrete pad itself is 10 feet by 45 feet, so any equipment on one of those sites would need to fit on the pad with any slide-outs extended. If you will need more space than this, I recommend looking at a Premium Campsite, which is 18 feet by 60 feet. If you have questions about the sites, I recommend calling (407) 939-1936 to speak with a friendly Cast Member in the Disney Reservations Center.

If you’re looking for a delicious dining experience while at Disney’s Fort Wilderness, I recommend P&J’s Southern Takeout. They serve up some amazing barbeque and sides, and the strawberry shortcake there is incredible! My son and I picked up an order to-go and enjoyed it with a view of the lake, and it made for a lovely meal and a great memory.

Thanks for stopping by planDisney, John! We’re here to help if you have any further questions about your visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
