Hi Daniel!
In another month we will be packing up our motor coach and driving it down to the
Fort Wilderness Resort in Walt Disney World and staying for the next three months. We have done this for the last few years and love this campground. I can answer almost all your questions that might come up as you are planning your camping vacation.
I have always had dogs as part of my family and can't imagine leaving them at home when I travel. It is one of the reasons we purchased a motor coach and most of our travels have simply been to Disney. You can certainly bring your little furry family members with you in your RV. In fact that is the only way you can bring pets to any Walt Disney World resort unless they are certified service animals. It does not matter how much they weigh as Disney does not have a rule on that. There is one family who brings their two Great Danes each year!
Guests who bring dogs must use designated areas for walking and relieving them and pick up after them of course. Dogs can only be in RV's and can never be left tied outside alone. Dogs that are obsessive barkers and a nuisance to other guests would be addressed by management. The rules are simple and straight forward and most guests find them perfect for their vacation stays.
If you need assistance or temporary boarding Disney has the
Best Friends Pet Care facility just minutes from Fort Wilderness. They carry supplies and food as well making this very convenient to pet owners who are camping.
Enjoy planning for your trip to Fort Wilderness and let me know if there is anything else I can do to help.
