What forms of transportation are available from Port Orleans Fr. Quarter to get to the parks or other hotels for dining options? I have 2 little girls and will also need to arrange for a stroller @ the parks. Thanks

    Hi Sarah!

From Port Orleans French Quarter (or Riverside), you will be using buses to get to the theme parks.  The only exception is there is boat service from the Port Orleans resorts to Downtown Disney.  Going to Downtown Disney by boat is fun and relaxing, especially at night, so be sure to give it a try!

Unfortunately, there is no direct path from French Quarter to any other resort except for Riverside and Saratoga Springs; you can get to either of those resorts by using the boat to Downtown Disney.  For all other resorts, you will first have to go to a central location, such as a theme park or Downtown Disney, and then transfer to something else going to where you want to go.  For example, to go from French Quarter to the Polynesian, you would take a bus from your hotel to the Magic Kingdom and then transfer there to a monorail going to the Polynesian.  I would plan on it taking about an hour to go from one resort to another resort using just Disney transportation.  A faster and more direct method is to take a taxi to where you need to go.

With regards to strollers, you can rent a stroller at one of the theme parks.  However, I suggest bringing your own.  Your girls will be familiar with your own stroller and they will probably be more comfortable.  Also, renting strollers at Walt Disney World is relatively expensive.  Another option is to purchase an umbrella stroller once you get to Walt Disney World.  Umbrella strollers are sold in all of the resort hotels and in a few other places on property.

I hope this helps!  Write back if you have any more questions!
