Ahoy Jocelyn,
Thanks for coming to planDisney with your
Disney Cruise Line question! I am happy to help you think about the special nights on your upcoming sailing.
While there is not typically a published list of the specific themes for each night for each sailing published ahead of time, you can
call Disney Cruise Line to inquire which evenings are planned as each for your specific sailing. When you call, you will need to be able to provide information about the dates of your sailing and which ship you are going on. The cast member there should be able to tell you which nights are planned as which theme; however, do know that all of these are subject to change. For the most up-to-date information, check your
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you are on board.
Pirate Night does occur on select itineraries. I imagine that if you are taking a five-night cruise heading to the Bahamas or the Caribbean that you will have a Pirate Night planned on your cruise. This is one of my favorite nights on a Disney cruise! I love to dress up like a pirate and enjoy all of the offerings on the ship, especially the high-energy deck party and fireworks at sea.
The
dress code for Disney Cruise Line dining offers an explanation of what types of dress are recommended for each night. On a five-night cruise, I would imagine that you would have at least one dress-up night. While this is not required, it can be fun to put on some fancier clothes for this evening. The photographers will be set up with some lovely backgrounds on these evenings. When I have been on cruises, you see guests wearing everything from cruise casual to fully formal gowns and suits on these evenings, so no matter what you wear, you will fit in!
I hope that this information is helpful for you, Jocelyn. Feel free to sail back over to planDisney with any further questions you may have!
