Hi Amanda!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for sailing by while you and your family plan for your first voyage aboard Disney Cruise Line. In my opinion, sailing to paradise is the ideal way to begin the new year. I love that you want to be as prepared as possible! You and your three buccaneers will have the voyage of a lifetime!
The Disney Dream is my favorite ship! There are so many activities to choose from onboard. One of my favorite activities while sailing the high seas is eating. Yum! For a three-night voyage, you can look forward to one cruise casual night, one Pirate Night and one optional dress-up night. During the optional dress-up night, I've seen Guests wearing everything from khakis to ball gowns. It's up to you!
Pirate Night is the most fun night! I recommend getting into the swashbuckling swing of things by letting your inner pirates out and dressing up for dinner! My husband and I wear matching Mickey pirate-themed t-shirts while my son dresses in full pirate garb. After dinner, you will be ready to sing and dance during the deck party!
If you haven't done so already, take a look at the
Packing List for Disney Cruises. This will be a helpful list for you to reference when you begin packing your treasure chests. I also recommend bringing a sweater or sweatshirt to wear during the evenings on deck. It can get a little breezy and chilly at night while the ship sails to its next port of call.
Amanda, I hope this was helpful and eases your mind a bit about what you'll need to pack. If you can think of any more questions prior to your upcoming Disney Cruise, please don't hesitate to come back and see us again. We're here to help make the planning process a smooth-sailing one!
