Hi, Damon!
There’s a lot to look forward to during your
Southern California vacation. Of course, a visit to the Disneyland Resort always tops my list of things to do when we travel to California too. Let’s see what you can do to make it happen.
Because both a valid
theme park ticket and a
theme park reservation are required to enter
Disneyland Park or
Disney California Adventure Park, you’ll want to strategize the best way to get a park reservation. The good news is that other Guests frequently change their plans. It’s fairly likely that many with existing park reservations will cancel their reservations and rebook them for later dates. I recommend watching the
theme park availability calendar to take advantage of when reservations suddenly become available. One or two days before a given date tend to be times when I have noticed the most availability show up. It can be intermittent. So be sure to check frequently.
If you are booked as a Guest of one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, be sure to follow the “Retrieve Hotel Reservation” link from the “
My Theme Park Reservations” page. This will unlock access to
theme park reservation inventory exclusively for on-site hotel Guests. Besides the Lava Smoothies from the pool bar, this is one my favorite perks of staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel!
Tony’s Tip: If you are planning to visit the Disneyland Resort theme parks for more than a single day, note that multi-day tickets do not need to be used on consecutive days. If you find theme park reservations available for non-consecutive days, it’s OK to book them. Most standard multi-day tickets won’t expire until 13 days after the first day of use or until the expiration date indicated when the tickets are purchased, whichever is sooner. If you see even more-desirable dates after booking park reservations initially, you can cancel individual days of future reservations and re-book the preferred dates.
Damon, I wish you safe travels. And I wish good fortune as you seek the theme park reservations you desire for your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort.
