    Hi! My Forever Friend (45-year friendship) and I will be at WDW in May to celebrate my 50th b-day! We have brunch reservations at California Grill. Can you tell me how many minutes before the fireworks we need to make sure we check back in at the podium?

    Hi Leslie!

    The California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a perfect location to celebrate your milestone birthday and to dine for brunch. I have experienced the exquisite service and spectacular views before and have been trying to get back ever since. 

    After you complete your Brunch at the Top, be sure to keep your receipt as you will need it when you return to the check-in desk on the 2nd floor to partake in the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Spectacular from the lounge or outside observation deck (personally, the observation deck gets my vote). I recommend returning about an hour prior to the scheduled fireworks for that day. This will give you time to arrive and get settled in before the fireworks begin. Please note: If inclement weather is present, the fireworks may be canceled and are subject to change.

    Your celebration is going to be amazing with your Forever Friend. I am so excited for you and the memories you will create.
