    For the Food & Wine Half Marathon, what kind of transportation is available after the after party? We are trying to determine which DVC resort to stay in. Do you know if the monorail will be running?

    Hello, Tara! 

    When participating in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, I highly recommend staying at Disney's BoardWalk Villas or Disney's Beach Club Villas. Nothing beats being able to walk back to your resort from the International Gateway entrance after a great race and a fun-filled time at the Finish Line Party. I have stayed at both these resorts during different Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekends and love the convenience! 

    The monorail will not be an option for post-race transportation, only bus transportation will be available and only to resorts that are considered "Host Resorts." For 2014, Disney Vacation Club properties that were considered hosts were Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, Disney's BoardWalk Villas, and Disney's Beach Club Villas. Though travel details have not yet been released for 2015, host resorts should be similar.

    As a Disney Vacation Club Member myself, I know how convenient it is to use your membership for a runDisney race weekend. So please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may may.
