how does the food and wine festival work? do you buy tickets to the park and then pay for the food separately, or is there a plan you buy? what if you are an annual pass holder?

Bon appetit, Paula, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so excited to help you experience one of my very favorite events at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I'm so utterly devoted to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that my husband and I haven't missed one since we first discovered it oh, so many years ago. I absolutely must have my Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup fix, and last year I found another favorite in the Guinness Baileys Shake from the Ireland booth. Here's hoping the luck of the Irish smiles on us and it comes back this year!

Paula, letting your inner foodie come out to play for the Festival is a piece of cake. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is included in your Theme Park admission. You can wander the booths of the Global Marketplaces located throughout the Park, where small plates of various delicacies are on offer for a small charge. Plus, you can rock out to one of your favorite acts each night during the Festival at the Eat to the Beat Concert Series, also included in your Park admission. There are also extra special experiences like culinary demonstrations and celebrity chef appearances that you can book for an additional charge.

With your Florida Resident Annual Pass, you already have your ticket to the fun! And here's a tip for you from a fellow Passholder - be sure to pick up a special Festival-themed Disney Gift Card to make paying for all those tasty treats a snap! It's so much easier than fumbling with cash or your credit card at the Global Marketplaces. Just pop it on your wrist and you can practically pay hands-free! Plus, since it's a Disney Gift Card, you can use any leftover funds almost anywhere at Walt Disney World. Sweet!

I hope this helps you taste your way around the world at Epcot, Paula. Please come back and see us again if you have any more questions - and save some cheese soup for me!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
