Hey there, Darleen!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for bringing us your great question. I can’t wait for you to celebrate your mom’s special birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth. She is going to love seeing timeless lands and attractions as well as the new and exciting enhancements to the parks.
Due to the large volume of meals served at the Disneyland Resort, vendors and suppliers frequently subsitute products, update menu items, and change preparation methods. Your best bet would be to ask each ice cream location for their specific menu items when you visit. Over in Disneyland Park you can enjoy hand-dipped ice cream right on Main Street, U.S.A. at
Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, I recommend trying a Kitchen Sink sundae at
Clarabelles's Hand-Scooped Ice Cream.
If you are craving something cold and delicious, there are also some amazing new frosty concoctions at both parks. I just love the "It's Lemon!" soft-serve at
Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats and the refreshing pineapple, orange, and raspberry soft-serves at Tropical Hideaway. Plus, for a limited time there are some out-of-this-world Mickey-inspired ice cream treats for Mickey and Minnie’s 90th Birthday Celebration throughout both parks. Make sure to pick up a “Get Your Ears On” Food Guide to find all of these amazing items!
I hope this helps, and please return if you have any other questions as you plan this memorable birthday trip. Have a Fantasmic day!
