Hi there, Jonathan, and welcome to planDisney!
My friends, who were totally new to visiting Walt Disney World Resort, visited the theme parks a while ago and were so shocked that Guests can bring in quite a few useful things to help them have the best day ever. It’s my pleasure to dive into what you can take inside of the Disney Parks.
The go-to source for knowing what you can and can’t take into the theme parks is the
“Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules” webpage. The good news is that you can most definitely bring your own food and drinks into the theme park. But there are guidelines. For example, alcoholic beverages are not allowed. And if you want to bring water, I recommend that you avoid storing it in a glass container because those are prohibited.
AN EXTRA GEM: My family likes carrying water in stainless steel water bottles that we can refill throughout the theme parks for free. You can also get free cups of water at quick-service food locations and stands around the theme parks.
Coolers over a certain size are not allowed into the theme parks as well. Food that requires heating or refrigeration will have trouble getting through security, too. So, make sure whatever you bring is ready to go. As a parent of tiny Mouseketeers, I always have snacks on snacks with me in my Loungefly mini backpack.
Jonathan, I hope that you’ve found this helpful. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions,
give us a holler here at planDisney. Magic always,
LeAndra
