Hello, Jill! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
I absolutely love eating my way around the Disneyland Resort so I’m happy to help with your snack vs. meal conundrum. The first idea that popped into my head are snack items that are hearty enough to be actual meals. One of my favorite stops is
Bengal Barbecue in Adventureland. They sell several varieties of meat and vegetable skewers in addition to tasty extras like breadsticks and hummus. These are all served up really quickly, but are definitely enough to satisfy even big appetites.
Another great option are turkey legs or corn dogs which can be found at carts around the parks. Edelweiss Snacks, by “it’s a small world,” sells succulent turkey legs and other delicious offerings like corn on the cob. Over in Disney California Adventure Park, head to Corn Dog Castle and your choice even comes with apples or chips. Check the Disneyland app for the nearest food cart when you are in the parks.
Finally, if you happen to be visiting during the
Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival which takes place March 2 through April 12, then all your food stress should quickly melt away. Plentiful food carts will line the main path through Disney California Adventure Park offering quick, but absolutely scrumptious bites to eat and wonderful beverage accompaniments. Your husband could stop at one or two of these festival marketplace kiosks and get his fill of the best California cuisine. You and your kids will probably want to partake in some of this delicious fare as well!
I hope this gives you some ideas to fill your family’s bellies during your upcoming trip!
