Hi Kyndell,
Welcome to planDisney! We are so happy you stopped by our corner of the magic with your question. My panelists pals and I love visiting the parks and sharing our experiences with fellow Guests to help you navigate your way through the pixie dust!
I have some good news for you. As a Guest of one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, you are able to charge dining and shopping purchases from within the theme parks (and select merchandise locations at Downtown Disney) back to your room via the Disneyland Mobile App. All it requires is linking a credit card to your hotel reservation, which can be done at the front desk at check-in or via the app ahead of time, which I recommend. Within 5 days of your arrival, the app will open up the ability for you to register for the
Direct-to-Room Service, which is essentially online check-in. If you head to the three-line icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app, scroll to "Hotel Reservations". If your reservation is not visible, you will be asked to link it using your confirmation number. From there, you will see the option to start the check-in process, where you will be asked to link a credit card to your account. From there, you should be all set to charge those purchases back to your room, just let the Cast Member know that's your preferred method of payment at check out or when you sit down for your meal.
Did you know that you can also
order quick service meals from your phone ahead of time to avoid waiting in lines? This is one of my favorite features in the Disneyland App. Similar to the process above, you will need to have a payment method linked to your account, which is found in that three-line icon in the app by scrolling to "My Account" and opening up "Payment Method". When you start to get hungry, tap the "+" in the bottom navigation bar of the app and select "Order Food", and a list of the nearby locations will pop up. You will be able to select your pick-up window, so you can plan further into your day if you're not quite ready to eat. Place the order, and when your window opens, head to the dining location and tap the "I'm Here" button. Magically, your food will be ready within just a few minutes!
Kyndell, I sure hope this was helpful! Don't forget that as a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you will also have access to
Early Entry - 30 magical minutes ahead of park opening to enjoy select attractions. Be sure to check out the
Park Hours to see which park is open for Early Entry on each day of your visit. If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!
Magic awaits!
