Hi Adrienne,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm happy to help with your question about dining at the three
Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants with young children.
All three are among my family's favorites. At
Boma, an all-you-care-to-eat buffet, you'll find a section designed with kids in mind. It offers a choice of chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, pasta and other items that almost all kids enjoy. One thing I love about the buffets is that they give diners of all ages a no-risk chance to try new tastes one bite at a time.
At
Sanaa, the kids menu includes cheese pizza, a cheeseburger, grilled chicken and shrimp. Again, because much of the menu at Sanaa is meant to be shared, it's a great place to experiment with new tastes. The bread service is not to be missed! You get an assortment of Indian breads and dipping sauces. Yum!
I love that
Jiku expands its kids menu selections beyond cheese pizza and mac and cheese (though those are available) to include steak, scallops and the fish of the day.
I'm confident you will find something to satisfy your children's tastes at any of the three. Your decision may come down to atmosphere. Jiku is the most formal. Boma is probably the most casual because it is a buffet and involves trips to and from the food stations. Sanaa is a beautiful space, fairly casual, with a view of the animals on the savanna.
Enjoy! And please let us know if we can offer any other tips or advice for your family's visit to Walt Disney World.
