Hi Samantha,
Welcome to planDisney!
Since both of our girls have food allergies, we have learned to navigate dining at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Cast Members have truly been spectacular when accommodating those allergies. My first suggestion would be to review the information at
Special Dietary Requests. I also would advise you to make advanced dining reservations. When making those reservations, note the allergies on the reservation. If you forget to note those allergies, you can
call to ask a Cast Member to please note them. Finally, you can review the menus of many restaurants to see the allergy offerings at each location. For example, take a look at the
menu for Ale & Compass Restaurant. Scroll down to see allergy-friendly options.
Since one of our girls has four allergies, two of which are soy and peanuts, we also always bring prepackaged snacks for her or I order from a grocery delivery service. One of the things we love about visiting the Walt Disney World resort with food allergies is that when we dine at table service restaurants, the chef often comes out to talk with us about what the girls can eat. This one-on-one conversation always makes our daughter with the most significant allergies feel much more confident about ordering.
Given the time of year you plan to visit, I anticipate crowds for
The World's Most Magical Celebration. So, be sure to make
advanced dining reservations right at 60-days prior to your visit. If you use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, it might be more challenging to determine which items are suitable for your allergy. If so, you may want to check in with a Cast Member directly at the restaurant.
Samantha, I trust you will get dining reservations made and will be good to go when you arrive!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
