Can you take food into the Mickey and the Magical Lamp show? Is it a good show? Long lines, etc.? I'd just love to hear feedback about it. Thanks!

    Hi, Susan!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for your great questions. I’m so glad you’re interested in seeing “Mickey and the Magical Map,” a live show that debuted at Fantasyland Theatre this past spring. It has quickly become one of my family’s must-dos during every visit!

This is a show unlike any other in the theme parks and combines innovative technology with favorite Disney characters and songs. In addition to our old pal Mickey Mouse, the show currently features friends like Sebastian, Stitch, four Disney princesses, and more familiar faces. While you may see Guests lining up for the show several minutes early, the good news is that Fantasyland Theatre (an outdoor amphitheater) is quite large and every section I’ve sat in offers a great vantage point to experience the show. You are welcome to bring snacks with you to “Mickey and the Magical Map,” so feel free to stop by a popcorn cart or the nearby Troubadour Tavern on your way to the theatre.

I hope this helps, Susan, and that you enjoy a wonderful Disneyland Resort visit. Please write back with more questions as your planning continues.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
