What food items are offered to purchase at the store in the campground/cabin area?

Hi Debbie! There are two Trading Posts located in the Fort Wilderness Resort. The largest one is centered on the property next to the main pool and the Bike Barn. If you are looking for food items I suggest you stop at this one.

It is hard to list and probably impossible to list all that they sell. My best description is that the items are similar to what a nice Walgreen's might sell in their food section. You will find milk and juice, bread and buns, cereal and other dry boxed foods such as macaroni and cheese. Sweets include donuts and ice cream and candy and cookies.  You can also expect staples as peanut butter and jelly, butter, and cheese. Hotdogs and lunch meats would also be available. So much more but generally brands are very limited and nothing that reeks exotic. Of course you can find the marshmallows, hershey bars, and graham crackers for the camping staple, s'mores!

If you are staying in a cabin I suggest you look into a grocery delivery service and my favorite is gardengrocer.com. You can do  your shopping on line and the choices are wide with many different brands available. They also include many non food items you can shop for. You select your goods and then select a delivery date and time.

Please remember if you do not have a car taking the groceries back to your cabin or camping site will be hard if you are located at a distance. For simple shopping you can enjoy the hike. If you do have a car there are a few parking spots located at the central Trading Post.
